Symptoms:
Bridge relay is open when it should be closed. Example: Installer turns the rotary switch ON and the BRG goes off grid.
Cause:
The Bridge feed being landed on a breaker in the load tray instead of on the Bridge main lugs.
Troubleshooting Steps:
If Bridge Relay is OPEN but grid is present: verify that the Bridge feeder is landed on the line side of the Bridge, not the load side.
Ask for photos from the installer to confirm. This will look like the BRG feed incorrectly landed on a breaker in the load tray or the backup/non-backup lugs instead of the main lugs.
Ask the installer to de-energize all equipment (BRG feeder OFF, ESS breaker OFF, rotary switch OFF) and relocate the BRG feed to the main lugs.
