Symptoms:
The Install App fails to connect to the system.
Troubleshooting Steps:
The Install App should give recommendations for troubleshooting. (Check Inverter has power, Check antennas are connected, Wait 60 seconds, Stand close to the Inverter…)
Check network and location access: CLICK "Check access in Settings" before proceeding (installers skip this step and then find out "the app was not allowed to link to local networks"
Power cycle the inverter (see article 99.1 Power Cycle Lunar Inverter).
Note: Waiting 1 minute after power cycle is required for the HC to boot up.
Confirm that the Installer App has the required permissions on the phone. The app will not be able to connect to the HC network without the "Local Network" permission enabled.
Under your phone's available Wi-Fi networks, check if there is a Lunar Wi-Fi network for your specific HC (Lunar_SIEXXXXXXX). If you put in the PW manually, double check PW characters like the number zero (0) vs the letter O/o.
If No Network:
Check for LEDs on the HC in the Inv.
Check AC power is connected.
Turn off the AC breaker.
Power cycle the inverter.
If Network is Present:
Wait 1 minute.
Ensure antennas connected.
Close / reopen Install App.
Stand close to the inverter. Opening the side door and having the phone nearby might help.
Check CAN wiring between Bridge & Inverter to ensure they are fully stripped and match.
