2. Handling and Use Precautions / Identification of Hazards
A. High Voltage Hazards
Under normal conditions, handling does not pose an electrical hazard. WARNING: NEVER CUT INTO A LUNAR ENERGY PRODUCT ENCLOSURE.

B. Hazards Associated with Mechanical Damage
Mechanical damage can result in electrolyte leakage, cell thermal runaway, and fire. Store in original packaging when not in use.
C. Hazards Associated with Elevated Temperature Exposure
Operating temp: -20°C to 45°C. Storage up to 60°C for less than 30 days.
D. Hazards Associated with Leaked Electrolyte
If electrolyte is observed, evacuate the area, avoid contact, and ventilate. WARNING: AVOID CONTACT WITH ELECTROLYTE.
E. Hazards Associated with Vented Electrolyte
If gas or smoke is observed, evacuate and notify first responders. WARNING: AVOID CONTACT WITH VENTED GASSES.
3. First Aid Measures
Electric Shock: Seek immediate medical assistance. Electrolyte contact: flush with water. Eye contact: flush 15 minutes, see physician. Inhalation: move to fresh air, seek medical assistance.
4. Firefighting Measures
If fire or smoke is observed: shut off the unit (turn rotary switch to OFF), evacuate, notify fire department. Use copious water to fight lithium-ion battery fires. Gaseous agents (CO2, Halon) may suppress flames but will not prevent thermal runaway propagation.
5. Storage Precautions
Store in manufacturer-approved packaging. Recommended storage: 60% SOC or less. Do not store for more than 6 months unconnected.
6. Installation Precautions
Allowed installation temp: -20°C to 45°C. Certified for indoor and outdoor installation. Prevent flooding damage.
7. Handling Damaged Products
If no smoke/flame for one hour, may disconnect and move to safe location. Contact support for specific instructions.
8. Disposal Procedures
Dispose or recycle per local, state, and federal regulations. In California, all batteries must go to a Universal Waste handler.
9. Maintenance or Repair
All maintenance must be performed by Lunar Energy approved service personnel.
