Symptoms:
The batteries are not communicating consistently and the INV is in a DC_BUS_RECOVERY fault loop.
Cause:
The BBs have likely been in Hibernate for too long and their internal cell voltage is below ~2.8V.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Confirm on Grafana that the cell voltage is above ~2V but below ~3V.
If within this range, proceed with the following steps.
If the cell voltage is ever below ~2V then the BB is not recoverable — it is an auto-RMA.
Reach out to T3 support to push the custom recovery firmware to the BBs.
Once the BBs are flashed with the recovery FW they will trickle charge until the cell voltage is above ~3V. This can take several hours.
Once this process has started the installer is free to leave the site and return on a different day to get a clean commissioning report.
